Retrospection

For those who thinks God chooses leaders, sometimes I wonder, is it that we have offended God in this Country called Nigeria to be Subjected to unending quagmire of misrule over the years, watching the events unfolding after the boston marathon one can't just help but admire the tenacity and efficiency of the American security agents most especially the CIA and the FBI, already one of the suspects have been taken down and the other has just been taken into custody, comparing this events with happenings in Nigeria is just disturbing, here we have a police force that is not even safe, instances of attacks carried out on police stations is rampant most especially in the North, how then can one who is not even safe protect others, the bulk of the blame falls at the steps of the government,many a lot of the funds budgeted for equipping and training the police force has ended up in private pockets, what a shame! Our police force are nothing more than petty thieves who daily rip the citizens off there hard earned money. Out of the about #2 billion naira set aside by the federal government about #1.5 billion of it was embezzled by a certain Kenny Martins who, suffice it to say is still a free man no thanks to the fact that he's a kinsman of the former presido I suppose. Many times I hear ignorant folks say "we shouldn't compare ourselves with USA" my question as a budding psychologist is why! Is USA composed of Super humans ? Or is USA inhabited by aliens? All these are bordering on Inferiority Complex, then again I hear ohh USA has been an independent nation about 200 years ago, then again am forced to ask, what gives you the notion that at 200 years with the way we are going in this nation we will still be a nation, with acts of impunity happening on a daily basis going unpunished, the nation is fast becoming a banana republic, with a president that is redundant and soft coupled with a people so soft and tender hearted and lily livered who can't even demand and fight for their own rights the obvious result is a mismanaged economy and people where mediocrity is the other of the day! May God help us.
