David Beckham and Prince William cheer on Great Britain Olympic Soccer Team

Despite his heartache at not making the squad, David Beckham vowed to be the biggest supporter of Great Britain's soccer team at the London Olympics. But it looks like he'll have competition there, too.

Beckham, 37, the legendary English player, was joined by none other than Prince William in cheering on the British team Sunday, as the home nation defeated the United Arab Emirates 3-1.

William, 30, the Duke of Cambridge, worked closely with Beckham to help bring the 2012 Olympics to London. And the pair were clearly chummy as they rooted for Team GB, which includes a number of the Los Angeles Galaxy star's former England teammates.

Beckham – who also brought along his eldest son, Brooklyn, 13, to the game – has been a very public figure at these Games despite not competing himself.

He carried the Olympic torch down the Thames during the Opening Ceremonies, and also met First Lady and noted soccer mom Michelle Obama when she gave the U.S. team a pep talk last Friday.
